Crsytal reports 8.5 and RMS

Bought CR 8.5. installed program on a windows 2003 server. Made connection through ODBC with the SQL server and made a CR report. Saved the CR report and tried to run it in RMS headquarters. There it appeared that the selection fields which I picked out of the SQL database from Headquarters where not filled. Sorting fields, field name, Operator where empty. I ran the report without the possibility of selecting fields and got the message "runtime error 429 Active component can't create object". Ran out of possibilities, could use some help.

Don't use ODBC, you have to use ole db. Open one of the RMS crystal reports in crystal and you'll see how they make their connection.

Is has an OLE DB connection, but now I have to know how to make a definition file. Tried to create a DEF file with the option "active sources" in CR where you have to define fields you are using in the CR reports but this is not working. Any suggestions??
