Delete Global Customer via Worksheet 51?

RMS V 1.3, soon to be 1.3R w/ hotfix.

We have way too many "John Doe" and "_ New Customer" customers in our database. All of our customer's are created as Global. I would like to delete some of these, however we have some closed locations that remain a part of our database. I understand I can issue a Worksheet Style 601: Delete Global Customers, however, under the section "This Worksheet Should Apply to...", all locations are by default, accepted. I do not like to have any unprocessed worksheets out there, so, I do not like using this method.

The closed locations are flagged as closed in the "Regions" area, so we can quickly deselect them at any point. Excluding this case. I fully understand why all locations default as checked here, but, these closed locations will never be connected back up to the database. They are long gone and retasked.

Is there a script that can be issued to accomplish the same task via a Worksheet Style 51?

I get what you are saying, but, what a hassle for us! We have 12 closed locations, with another 8 to follow in 3 weeks. That is where I was thinking a script might be useful.

Side Note: I think you always offer accurate, great advise. And, it is always nice to see a response that does not involve someone trying to see you something when the fix is really quite apparent.

I see!

We have a great tool on all of our machines that allow me to log on remotely without the location's permission. Even if their computer has been powered down, I can boot it back up. It is nice for reconnecting their HQ Client which I do for certain locations because if they have a hung POS, they "End Task on all things Microsoft". Additionally, I have found it very useful for training purposes, and correcting a multitude of things. Multitude!

We also have this great FTP thing going where I can load large programs on and have it sent straight down to the location overnight. I will use this for instances where I run conference calls with the locations to have them install something, like the FedEx Ship Rush, etc.

As far as the log ons go to the location's computers, it is a separate piece of hardware. We are using a Peppercon Harness, a German product. I really love it because it does not require anything like the GoTo Meetings do. I like not having to require a user to do anything, or to pass controls. With our harness, it will allow for multiple users at one time, and the connection is basically as good as the location's internet connection.

I love to use it at night when I have to hit all locations for an install or something. It is just so nice to have the access like that.

Like tonight, I have a location that will have to power their computer down for work in the mall. I am additionally doing work tonight on the machines, so I can just power them back up after 3:00am. Have to love that, right!?
