DigiPOS systems - Retail Blade

Is anyone currently using this hardware with RMS?

I would greatly appreciate any unbiased feed back on your experience with it.

DigiPOS can be foud at www. digipos-systems.com. It seems kind of pricey compared to just buying a DELL box and adding the cash drawer, MSR, and receipt printer?

Hi DAS, again,

yes it is support as far as the hardware must have USB port as you gona install the license on new hardware the second important thing is RMS is software can also be installed and run on normal PC. I am using with one of my client not original POS hardware but combination of hardware I am using and it is working perfectly.

I have installed quite a few RMS and MSPOS bundles from DigiPOS. They work fine, but only come with 256MB RAM which is very low for MSPOS. RMS runs decent but I am sure I will be upgrading memory in many of them. We had suggested to BlueStar to configure the bundles with 512MB when these units were being designed but they decided to go with 256MB. I called the 24 hour MSPOS support line in order to find out the memory type to order for upgrading about two weeks ago, spoke to a support rep. and they never called me back with the spec's.

They are good systems for the price and I would reccomend them.

we have deployed over 1000 of the Blade units in the UK - some running RMS, some running our own EPoS software. These units have been a blessing - very few breakdowns, easy to maintain and you can get a guarantee on spec level for a lot longer than you would get from Dell. Like everything, you get what you pay for - and I have to say these units have probably returned the extra investment already.

DigiPOS and RMS software has caused our business nothing but trouble. We have 6 registers that were bought as a package deal from DigiPOS. It hasn't even been a year yet and two hard drives have gone bad along with one whole complete system within the first 6 months. When we called for replacements we were charged for them.

RMS is just as bad and I believe it is the worst product ever produced ahead of DigiPOS. We got the software with our registers and since then nothing has worked right. We constantly get hungapp errors, POS won't open/close, freezes up the whole computer after each sale up to 20 minutes and the drivers that we were told to use for our receipt printer, pole display, and cash drawer keep going corrupt. I have to go to each register, uninstall the OPOS drivers, reinstall them and then reconfigure all three devices for them to work again. This seems to be a quick fix but continues to happen on a regular basis. I have not had any help in figuring out my issues from DigiPOS, Microsoft or GNS(where we bought our package deal). They keep saying that "It's a known issue and we'll have to deal with it." When they do say they will help or try to figure something out for us as a fix they never call us back and leave us hanging.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND DIGIPOS, RMS SOFTWARE BY MICRO$UCKS OR GNS.
