Error 425 at SurePOS

Hi,

I have RMS SO on an IBM SurePOS 500 and have two different tickets defined (a "normal" sale ticket and a gift ticket), on the same OPOS printer, and ahve activated the option to share OPOS printer with the external applications, but when RMS SO try to print out the second (gift) ticket on the same transaction, it gives me back the error 425 (printer OPOS is blocked or something).

Anyone knows how to solve this out? Thanx in advance...

Regards, Antonijo

Even though you have Share OPOS printer with other applications selected, the first receipt still needs to claim the device in order to print to it. So what is happening is your Receipt Printer 1 (sale ticket) has claimed the printer but the Receipt Printer 2 (gift ticket) is trying to print to it right away. To stop this from happening you can change the settings of Receipt Printer 2 to Do not print receipt and make sure Journal Receipt is checked. Then after you sales receipt prints if the customer wants a gift receipt you can press Shift-F11 at the POS and it will print the Gift Receipt. Another option would be to Prompt cashier to print receipt and wait for the Sales Receipt to finish printing the press Yes to print the Gift Receipt.

Hi Rob,

just wanted to say thanx for the answer, I've been too busy this last two weeks...

Well, we are still having the same problem, no sloution yet... Anyway, we have the sistem as You have proposed, but we still need to find a soluton on this, since we are selling the IBM SurePOS machines. I think the problem must be in the configuration of the printer in the SurePOS or some OPOS drivers problem... Anyway, if I get the solution, will get back to You...

Best regards, Antonijo
