Having problem with updates

My boss has not updates his RMS since he bought it in 2006. I downloaded Service back 2 but in the read me file it said you need a password for it to install. Is the password a product key or what?

The password to unzip the hotfix is given to you by Microsoft when you request the link to download it. Do you have a current Microsoft Maintenance plan? If so contact your Microsoft partner who sold you the software and they can provide the file unzipped (or call Microsoft).
