How does RMS handle layaway orders?

Nothing is credited to sales until the transaction is finalized. No deposit (work order, back order, layaway) is considered sales until the order is 'picked up' and the sale finalized.

A deposit is not a sale. Orders get cancelled all the time.

Though this reminds me of another question...

What happens with forfeited deposits, especially when you integrate with an accounting system?
