Inactive Items still ring up

I am running SO 2.0 and I have 6 stores. When some items are marked inactive they will still scan and ring up in some of the stores. We have found that some items on the blocked list do this as well.

I cannot find a common factor among them. What am I missing that is allowing these items to be sold?

We are not running HQ yet.

Marking an item inactive does not make it unavailable to sell. It simply takes it off the active items list when searching for an item. To make them unavailable for sale you need to block the sale of the item. Make sure you tell it when to start blocking the sale or it will continue to allow you to sell it.

Rhonda, Marking an item as Inactive does not prevent it from being sold. This is by design. To prevent the sale of an item, you need to configure the block sales options in the Options tab of each item. To be the most effective, I would create a new schedule in the system called "Always" and configure that schedule to always be active. Then when you are setting up the block sales settings, use this schedule instead of a stop/start date.
