Ingenico i6550. Warning 940

Hello, I just installed an Ingenico i6550 device in our bookstore (RMS version

2.0.0105).

I followed the instructions in KB article 935588.

When I log into the RMS POS module, I get the following warning: "Warning 940: The Signature Capture device was not accessible. It may be locked by another application. Do you wish to continue ?". I choose continue and POS comes up, but the device does not work.

We currently have another credit card swiper on the machine that is still working, but we'd like to get this one working so the customer can swipe their own card and sign.

We do not process debit cards -- we accept them but run them through as a credit transaction, so we won't be needing to use the pinpad on the device.

Is there anybody out there that can help me with this ? I've looked around and cannot find anything that has led me in the right direction thus far.
