MSSQL / Data

Just curious, I noticed at work that my file named Quality was not under DBFiles...when I tried to find where the source file was used from I couldn't? I checked in the Administrator part, but I have learned that it seems to always be in MSSQL ~ Data...so when I instal version 1.3 in order to keep everything the same, so that I don't have to make any changes to OPOS or anything like that, what is a good recomendation as to what I need to do?

Vince,

You're OK. I'm assuming Quality is your store's name. The files in the DBFiles folder are the sample ones that come with RMS.

Yes Quality Market is the actual name, but I use Quality :) So you are saying that I can pretty much select the db from anywhere on the hard drive, once I instal 1.3

You won't have to make any selections. 1.3 should pick up the database entries from the previous install of 1.2. Make sure you follow the instructions in the readme file, and make sure you take a backup of the database before doing the upgrade.

SQL Server and MSDE are service based systems, not file based like Access, so you never select a file to access data - instead you connect to the service, using the settings in SO Administrator File/Configuration.
