OPOS Printer blocked by RMS Store Operation POS

Hi,

I cannot print from RMS SO Manager when the SO POS app is open. I've selected the option to allow sharing the printer but it doesn't seem to work. The POS is not in the middle of any transaction, so it's not being locked by the POS.

Any ideas?

Hi Bradley,

Let me know which printer you are using, the second important thing is that have you created the OPOS object in "Configure Microsoft OPOS Service Objects" if so what settings you did, confirm so I can help you out in more detail.

You need to go into the configuration settings in SO Manager and select the option to share the OPOS printer. You'll then have to restart SO Manager and SO POS for the changes to take effect.

This will slow receipt printing down slightly as the application will have to claim the printer everytime a receipt is produced but it shouldnt be a huge delay.

Hi Akber,

I am using an OPOS object through the EPSON OPOS ADK. I am using a TM-88IV printer. Do you think the issue is that I am not using the Microsoft OPOS objects?

Hi, well I think this could be the cause because you are using 2 different drivers. You can remove whatever you have created in RMS OPOS and just keep the configuration in your EPSON OPOS ADK and the name of printer which you have created put that back to Configuration of Regiser in Manager Program as OPOS device.

There is only one issue I faced and asked MS but not found the solution which is that sometime printer stop responding so I press the feed button so it print the receipt. Else it works excellently.
