I am unable to print a receipt when viewing the receipt in the journal viewer. The message I receive tells me to make sure I have a printer intalled and that it is properly configured. By the way, I have recently upgraded from Quicksell 2000 to RMS 2.0

I apologize for the stupidity of this answer, but I assure you that it is correct. It's not my fault, but somebody ought to apologize for it and I'm not holding my breath for an apology from Bill Gates...
In Store Ops Manager, go to the register list. Open the properties of the register in question. Tell it to print receipts to the default Windows printer. Click OK. Now go back into the properties window and tell it not to print receipts. The printer name will be grayed out but the name will remain. You will now be able to print from the journal.
Brilliant! I love undocumented quirks. Wait until you want to see page 2 of a multi-age receipt.

ctl + left, right arrows for multipage receipts, and Z, X reports.
Unless this has changed with ver 2.0...
Thanks for your help. I can print from the registers but I have manager installed on several non-register computers and I still cannot print from them.
When POS is open it locks the receipt printer. You can print fine from Manager if the POS program is not open. There are options in the configuration to share the printer that is suppose to allow you to print from either program but it doesn't work. I've never found an actual fix for this. It's mainly just an annoyance.
