Star SP200 Printer slow in RMS

Recently upgraded from QuickSell to RMS v2.0. Register #2 has a Star SP200 printer attached, with OPOS driver loaded and configured correctly. Drawer pops correctly, but the printer takes up to half a minute to start printing receipt. Any suggestions?

Check cash drawer properties as to whether drawer must close before next transaction can begin....also that the OPOS drivers allow sharing of the printer...is it serial or parallel...if serial, make sure com port isn't captured by another app...

Does the receipt also print slowly? Had a slow-printing receipt issue recently on an EPSON TMIII which couldn't handle arial font - edited arial font and changed to FONTA11 and this fixed the issue...

One more thing to check. Make sure you don't have any other printers listed in control panel. I had an issue where it sometimes took a little longer to start printing than I liked and when I removed all other printers listed it resolved my issue. Craig
