POS 2.0 - Assigning a Sales Rep to a sale

Hello again,

Is there a way to assign a sales rep to a sale on POS 2.0? I need to calculate commissions - the "Daily Sales by Employee" report uses the cashier information. I noticed that the "TransactionEntry" table contains a SalesRepID column, but I don't see where to set it in the POS screen. Being able to assign a sales rep to each line item is exactly what I need!

Thank you!

hi Johann, Currently I am waiting for my POS2.0 and using 1.3 version but for your information both the version has transaction level things similar. There is way to assign the sale rep to transaction it can be done by item or as whole.

You can log to store manager program and then go to configuration, click on option and then click on POS Options under that you have "prompt for Sales representative" and also there is one more option "require Sales Representative", then click ok. Now go to Database and then click on Sales Rep menu and then setup your sales representative.

Log back to POS and the first thing it gona ask you the sale rep, select your sales rep from the list and then perform the transaction.

if the information are not same I am sorry as I told that I am waiting for my v.2.0 but this information may help you somehow.

There may be some confusion between RMS and POS in this thread.

Akber's comments regarding RMS are correct, and this should help with your question if you have RMS. However, if you are referring to POS, this won't apply. POS 2.0 does not currently support Sales Reps, or calculate commission. There are some users that will use "Daily Sales by Employee" for this but, to your point, this is by cashier. If your reps are not logged in as a the current cashier they would not get credit for the sale.
