POS/ credit card processors

Most of our clients use VITAL / VISANET as the backend credit card processor through their choice of merchant bank. This way you can utilize the built-in credit card processing capability of RMS.

We recommend Mercury Payments to all our clients, they offer great rates, gift cards (no fee for processing transactions) and uses RMS's built in credit card.

I just recently started using Mercury, and they seem to be working just fine. Everything goes right through RMS, and I had some things that I wanted, and needed the receipt to do, and everything works fine. There were a couple of downsides, they can't do EBT through RMS, and there is a 48hr delay for deposits. I'm use to 24hr with my other processor. I still use both processors, because of the fact that I need the other for EBT transactions, and we use them for transactions that don't go through RMS, vendors who charge a credit card etc. But for the most part, they are a good company, and very comprable to the rates I was getting. Mercury does EBT. You may have to switch to the TPI interface to use it.
