print return policy

How can we add return policy printed on each receipt? the 5 lines in receipt design is not enough.

You would have to edit the xml receipt and and add more lines. There are two areas you need to modify. These lines in the attribute section:

and this one located in the PrintFooter Sub:

Len(FooterLine5)

Every time you add more lines you just need to increase the number. For instance if wanted to add another line I would this line to the attribute section: and these lines to the PrintFooter Sub:

Len(FooterLine6)

FooterLine6

If you are using the stock receipt that came with RMS you should make a copy of the receipt change the copy to what ever name you want then right click on the copy and uncheck ReadOnly. The using Notepad edit the Footer lines and save the receipt. Go into SO Manager --> Database menu --> Registers --> Receipt Formats and either create a new receipt format or reassign the newly created receipt format to your current one. If you create a new receipt format you would need to go into SO Manager --> Database menu --> Registers --> Register List and change the Receipt Printer

1 properties to reflect the newly created receipt. Then restart POS Application and test it out.

Oh yah, don't forget to add your new Return Policy.

I'm doing this too, but have a problem...I've added 25 lines of extra footer which is great for return policy, etc. but this extra 25 lines is also printing out on the "signature" portion for credit card / e-check receipts (that we keep), and thus wasting quite a bit of paper...any way to suppress the footer from printing out entirely on the signature portion or otherwise address this issue?
