purchase orders

Once a purchase order is closed is there anyway to delete it if it was done so by mistake? Is there anyway to open it back up and restore inventory levels to the original and the PO be open? I guess what I am asking is whats the best way to correct POs that were closed or recieved by mistake.

there is a work around.

for this to work you must have the "allow edit of closed purchase orders" option checked in the configuration options.

1.open the closed PO in edit mode 2.add a random item to the PO and save it (this will change the PO status to Partial mode) 3.filter by "Show Partial" and open the PO in receive mode. 4.reverse quantities that were received by making them negative quantities (not the newly added item from step 2) and commit the PO. 5.save/close the PO. 6.filter by "Show Open", find your PO and delete it.

There's nothing built into the system to allow you to back out a received PO. You could create a transfer out that matches the PO Contents to reverse the receiving, but there's no way to automate the creation...
