Voiding Purchase Orders

Does Quickbooks finally have the ability to void a PO? Currently when we need to cancel a PO we end up deleting it, and I think that causes traceability issues I would rather not have. If I leave the PO there it pollutes my open purchase orders view.

Mark each item on the PO as "closed".

Couldn't you just close the purchase order, with no items received?

Will,

What happened? You didn't post a question last week. Any who I'm glad to see you back again with yet again another question. Hope you find a solution, its very bad when your data suffers from the green house effect caused by all that polution.

Allan, this is the first time I have posted a question in about a month. Again, you have me confused with the other poster who also signs with my first name.

I know accuracy is not your strong suit, but please try.

Works for me. Thanks!

I'm confused. You say that you didn't post a question in about a month, dosn't that include last week? Sugest you start posting questions at alt.time. so that you will become more knowledgable about time periods.

I'm afraid that I have to agree with Allen on this one. Will posted on 7/21, 7/28 & 7/29. I don't recall that being a month ago. Oh, it was LAST month so I guess that must explain things.

All I can say Laura is that I try to ask short, pointed questions that pertain to the use of Quickbooks. This is a Quickbooks newsgroup, and presumably asking such questions once or twice a month is not exactly living off the public. At least it hasn't done anything to lower my accounting bills each month.

Allan on the other hand posts here how many hundreds of times a month? Many of his posts seem to have little topical relevance. Aside from acting as a Quickbooks apologist, he seems to take great pride in making snide remarks and sometimes making fairly savage comments about people. The behavior isn't professional, and there is little value added from such correspondence to anyone but himself.

The vast majority of posters here are courteous, and I appreciate whatever advice they give.

And give and give and give.

If you can't stand the giving then get out of the aid line.

I have lots to give, I just prefer speading it around.
