Removing an matrix item from Headquarters

I have RMS 1.3 that has three stores and headquarters. I am trying to remove a matrix item from headquarters. When I follow the procedure in the manaul, the item will be removed from the matirx in Headquarters but it does not get removed at the store level even though I issued a worksheet. We have used all of the obvious worksheets and none of them seem to work. Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug?

When you say you are trying to remove the item - I am going to guess you mean delete the item - correct?

If you are trying to delete an item, regardless of the item type, you need to manually script the deletion of the item at the SO level as well. You can issue using WS51s, and always pair off with the item ILC.

Do you know the ILCs of the items you have deleted? If not - you can always export the HQ items db and cross compare with the SO db to locate any 'overages' in SO.

Going forward, I would recommend always inactivating the items instead of deleting. This makes them cleaner and easier to work with at the store level, even if the item has not had any movement on it and was simply a mistake in HQ issued to the stores.

I do not want to delete the item, I simply want to remove it from the matrix at both the hq level and store level. Usually we remove the item from the matrix first and then make the item inactive. We try to avoid deleting items from RMS. However, when I remove the item from the matrix at HQ, it still appears in the matrix at Store Level.

I believe you remove it from the Matrix, then run a Worksheet 250 for the item that was previously part of the matrix.
