Hello. I use a laptop as my register and I had to send it off for repairs, but before i did i took it to the Geek Squad to remove the data. I loaded RMS to my other laptop, but i can't get the information it to pull the data off the disc. Please help. I can't get any work done without it and i'm affraid that all data will be lost because Sony is going to wipe out my hard drive completely.

What kind of data are you trying to recover is it a backup of the database? What does it do? Tell Sony not to erase.
yes the backup data. Sony already erased it. They told me that's they could only bring it back to factory settings. And now i can't pull up the backup info on my other laptop.

Go into Store Ops Administrator | File Connect | put in a password | Database | Create | Give it the same name as before | next through all the options until it asks to populate the database, do the drop down and find the backup file (it ends in .bck) wherever you saved it | file exit
