hey everyone, i am having problem with the speed at which POS scans item in registers. we have 4 registers connected to windows 2003 server which has full Sql server 2000 installed on it. All registers have 512 RAM on it. My register #1 on which the dongle is attached works fine. the POS runs smoothly even if the number of items in a single transaction increase to 50 or 80 items. all my other registers become slow when the number of line items reach in 20's. i first thought it might be my SQL server is not configured correctly but if that was the case then register #1 should slow down too. then i thought maybe my system didnt had enough memory to run huge transactions but all of them including register #1 have 512MB ram which should be enough. does anybody else has any suggestions that they would like to share,
