Software License Violation

Jun 06, 2005 2 Replies

I have a store with a 1-3 license, three check-out lines, and a dedicated SQL Server. I have a parallel dongle on cash register 1. The registers are left on 24-7. About once a month an error will pop-up on one of the registers stating that there is a "software license violation" and only three copies of RMS can be running. We will reboot all three cash registers and only two will be allowed to start. Which ever cash register is started last will receive the license violation error. This error will not correct itself until the Server is rebooted. Do I have a faulty dongle? If so, how can I get it replaced?

No... it's also possible that is a new bug of rms.. why you not reboot your system ? (server and registers?)
