Hi, when a store communicates with HQ in RMS, is there built in data encryption? If not, are there ways to encrypt the data other than using VPN? Just wondering since it seems like most companies would sales/inventory to be confidential.

According to MS, the data between HQ Client and HQ Server is Compressed and Encrypted. I've never seen any details on the encrytion method though. If you are concerned, you can set up a VPN connection between sites...
