Subject: error: item was not comitted MS POS

I get the error: "Item was not comitted" when trying to perform "update inventory" on a PO. This prevents the PO from posting to Quickbooks. Anyone have an idea why and how to get it to post? This occured when I went back in and modified a closed PO to add freight. thx.
