If you need to activate a POS product after it has already been done, good luck. Microsoft support sucks. I've been on hold for an hour and no one can help re-activate a product after a replaced hard drive....

I've also re-activated many Microsoft products many times and its about the only thing I've ever done with Microsoft that I've never had a problem with.

You need to call the number you get for your country in the list when you are activating (you always get through to India) and just tell them you replaced the hdd and they will give you a new activation code.

Actually I've always been surprised at the ease of which they give you this code, "I just replaced the hdd" and "Yes its the same mach> I've had to re-activate oen station about 4 times, and never had a problem. > > -- >
