You can turn it off in Store Operations, but not in HQ...
This cannot be a hard thing to add.
Please, Mr. Microsoft, give me the option to stop the backup reminder.

Tom I agree - we have automated our backups for both the stores and HQ, and the backup prompt upon exit in HQ is just an annoyance for us.

I just got off the phone with MS (ordering my Hot Fix) and had an interesting conversation regarding the backup prompt, automated backups and 'formally supported' backup file formats.
I use a batch file full of SQL commands to create my backup files. The backup files end in .bak, not the .bck you get when you issue a backup command from within SO/HQ Admin/Manager. According to the tech at MS, any non-.bck backup file is unsupported. Not that they won't try to help, but they'll be less likely to go that extra mile if your backup file isn't in the proper format.
Now I'm wondering if I could somehow get Task Scheduler to coax the Admin program(s) into creating a backup.
Any ideas?

You can disable the "backup database" option from the utility menu, so the backup reminder disabled by default. Go to security mode, press Ctrl+Alt+S to activate menus, click utility , right click "backup database" and check all security levels.
Regards,
You are right Mahmoud, thank you for the tip
