Hozay,

I'd use a payment type I think, call it Sign Up coupon or something like that.

BTW, how about turning off your Caps Lock. Posting in all CAPS looks like you're YELLING at us. ;-)

We just installed RMS in a small chain of Cricket Cell Phone stores. Some of the phones have rebates associated with them, and they want to tax the gross amount before the rebate. We set up a department for Rebates and an ILC for Generic Rebates with a 0.00 Price with the flag that they must enter Price (negative) at POS. Originally we set up individual rebates, as Tagalong Items (with negative prices), but there are some occasions when the Rebate was not applicable and a Manager had to log on to delete the rebate (security issue) and it was slowing them down at the POS, so we went to the Generic Rebate ILC and entering a negative price. This seems to be working so far, I do not know if you could adapt it to your case.

Hozay, remember to make the tax status of your Rebate or Discount ILCs Not Taxable, this will allow the tax to be calculated on the gross amount of the phone.
