Transmit Changes in Assembly Items from HQ to Stores

How do I do this?

We are in the process of changing our entire ILC Scheme. I need to change the ILCs for all assembly items. I have already made the changes in HQ.

How do I transmit them to the stores?

HI whenever you create the new items you need to issue the Worksheet 260: Download Items to download the newly created item(s) to the specified stores

DO NOT USE 260 - this will iverride your prices, cost, and inventory numbers. The 250 will do what you need. 260 must come with a warning DONOT USE AS THIS CAN SCREW UP YOUR DATABASE FIGURES. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Like Afshin said, WS260 is bad Bad BAD. WS250 is much better for practically all cases. I have blocked the use of the 260 with security. Ditto the 307.

Try creating a WS250 (or WS260, if you prefer) using the 'add items manually' option. Now try to add an assembly item as a row. No can do.

However, I did notice that my assembly items did update at the store level when I sent a WS250 that included all of the component items.

Nevertheless, if I want to change the description of an assembly item (typo, for example) - there's no obvious way to send that change to the stores.

Even worse, for a new assembly item, there doesn't appear to be any way to send it to the stores other than sending the individual components in a WS250/260.

Is it just me, or are assembly items completely goofy? You still can't print a label for one. I'm about ready to give up on assembly items entirely--which is a shame, because about 25% of my revenue is assembly items.

Jeff,

The assembly descriptions definitely do not go with a WS401. WS250 for the component items seemed to work.

The label printing thing is insane. I guess I am just failing to see the rationalization for offering an assembly and not being able to print a price tag for it. Especially when I can build an assembly item that sells at a discount compared to the sum of the individual components.

"Jeff @ Check Po> Tom,

components and the assembly will follow.

in the next 401.

because its not really an item, but a group of items that can be changed at POS.
