I am trying to uninstall retail realm multi location (down to just one store now) and am having problems.I did the standard uninstall program through the controll panel but can't figure out what to do to get RMS to stop trying to use Multilocation.
For example when I type in an item lookup code I get the following warning "Attempt to execute COM object 'RRMultiLocRules.clsLocPrice' failed. Could not create object."
Any help would be appreciated.I need to have this fixed by 5 a.m. tomorrow morning!

Well, I'm surprised that the uninstall didn't take care of this... You're going to have to edit the registry to fix this. RegEdit is NOT your friend - anytime you open it you have the potential to really screw things up. I would recommend calling your reseller for support on this.
The 'hook' functions are stored in the Registry of each register.
Start/Run regedit Right click HKEY LOCAL MACHINE Export Save the file where ever you like - this is a backup of your current settings. Expand HKEY LOCAL MACHINE Software Microsoft Retail Management System Store Operations IF YOU HAVE NO OTHER ADD-INS Installed Click "Hooks" Double click the "Hook Count" entry Change the value to 0 (that's a zero)
IF YOU HAVE OTHER ADD_INS Installed, it's a little harder: Expand Hooks Look for the hooks related to Multi Location - they should all look like "RRMultiLocRules.xxxx" Clear all of the values for the multilocation hook functions. Now you will need to move all of the remaining hooks so that there are no 'empty' hooks either before or between them. For example, if Hook 0,
1 and 3 are still being used, you need to move all the settings in Hook
3 into the empty Hook 2. Finally, count the ramining hooks (in the above example the count would be 3) Change the value of the Hook Count entry to your new count.

YOu have probably uninstalled the program without dropping the tables and registry entry. So you have 2 options either install the progarm again. Go TO the application and from the option Administaror Drop the tables and registry entries. Or as Glenn suggest go to each pos and drop the entries from Registry.
