FYI - Retail Realm is releasing its New HQ Utility - [End user Price US$700]
The HQ add-on has many features. This add-on has been designed to enhance the Microsoft RMS HQ. The features are:
- Acknowledge Worksheets [Specify the dates and decides which WS needs to be acknowledged]
- Delete Acknowledge Worksheets [Specify the dates and decides which Acknowledge WS needs to be Deleted]
- Item Dynamic Fix [Fix the missing records in the Item Dynamic Tables]
- Purchase Order Control [Control PO placed at stores, modify, edit, reject or accept ?Mark as Placed?]. This feature treats the store PO as requisition and allows the HQ to control the PO?s. Print / Fax / E-Mail multiple PO?s
- Worksheet List ? an Excel looking utility where you can do mass changes of item price, cost, etc? and the system automatically creates multiple worksheets to transfer to stores.
- Item Modification Wizards. These wizards perform all wizard operations in RMS store and HQ as well as 36 new wizards. When finished the wizard update the HQ database and give you option to automatically create the worksheet and have them pre-approved. The new wizards are:

- Global Cashier / Sales Rep [Global Message]? This function allows the cashiers and sales reps to be defined centrally in HQ and mark in which store we wish to create their profile for [multiple stores can be selected for creation of profile]. This option additionally comes with the ability to send Messages from store to store, store to HQ or HQ to stores.
- Price Control Options ? Based on security level to have option NOT TO ALLOW certain POS activities which currently RMS warns but allows to be overridden. These are:
o Override Lower bound o Override Upper Bound o Must enter Price to be left blank o Must enter Weight to be left blank o Discount below Current price
- Cheque/Check Control ? allow the check information to go from store to store or be defined at HQ to declare bad checks or the ones that you accept throughout your enterprise.
- Unit of Measure ? Definition of Unit Of Measure for tile stores. So we can know how many tiles will be required to do a surface of xx by yy with a gap between tiles of nn.
- Store Security ? Define Store Security from HQ to download to stores
- Picking and Packing ? This option allows the user to define the picking and packing sequence as well as BIN location for each store. This module requires Store Utility to exist on the store side.
- Captions ? Define HQ Captions for Item, Customer and Suppliers.
HQ Utility is a product that is being enhanced continuously and as part of your annual upgrade subscription you will receive bug fixes and updates with new features and functions added.
