1) Inventory Sub Items - 2) multiple discounts for a p/n

May 05, 2005 2 Replies
1 - Our products may grouped into categories... ... Product Category 1 ... Product Category 2 etc Is this a good use of the "Sub Item" option when creating a new inventory item?

2 - We have multiple discounts for each product... but each product only has one part number... (No discount if we sell direct, discount one if we sell to a retailer, discount two if we sell to a wholesaler, discount 3 if we sell to a distributor, etc.)

In the New Item setup QB Basic ask for Sales Price.

How can we setup the various discounts for the item without creating a new part number for each one??

thanks for any help.

Don't think QB Basic has that. I use QB: Premier Manuf & Whole and it has that options, QB:Professional might or not as well. The feature is called price levels. Hope this helps.

Hi

Multiple price level can be assigned to a Item using the Price Level feature. However this feature is available on versions QuickBooks Pro and higher.
