Admin password for new registration QB Pro 2006

I registered my product, Quickbook Pro 2006, last night. A bunch of downloads were upgraded to the program. Now it wants a admin password. I never supplied a password, as I was using the program during the trial period. This is a retail version, on a XP machine. How do I get around this? Thanks in advance Bob

Did you try to leave it blank and just hit enter?

I just had something like that happen with my QB Pro 2001. My computer had two instances of QB open, or so it thought. I closed them both and started over, and it went back to normal.

Who's asking? QB or XP?

HeyBub

I just upgraded to 2007 and it is doing the same thing. It is QB asking and even if a minor inconvenience not really a bad idea. One tiny level of protection for your customers private info.

Hi Bob!

Could I suggest using the Automated password removal tool? Found here:

This tool is free and is offered from QuickBooks and usually takes only a few minutes.

Good luck! Amy
