Can't Open Company - QB2004

May 28, 2005 2 Replies

I had an assistant handling my Quickbooks work but the person is no longer with the company. Unwittingly, I deleted her logon identity in Windows XP2, and I now find I cannot open my company (I have the password) - the password is rejected. (I open it with my administrator identity being logged on to the PC).

Any help?

Thanks!!

There's always the possiblility that the user changed their QB password for the company file before they left - such things are not uncommon. If that is the case, Intuit will unlock the company file for a fee.

The password on the QuickBooks file is totally unrelated to a user identity. Make sure you have the right user name and password to log in to the QB data file.
