File Synchronization

I have two servers that contain identical copies of the QB files at the beginning of the day. One is updated by the Financial group (Base files) and the second is updated by the Sales group. At the end of the day, I want to synchronize the changes from the Sales files into the Base files and the recopy the Base files back to the Sales files. Is this possible and anyone one have an idea on how to do this?

Not possible using QB alone. There are 3rd party data transfer and synchronization add-ons available.

Place a single copy of the QuickBooks on a terminal server and let all the users access the same QuickBooks file from anywhere via Internet. Multiuser access is possible. Up to 5 persons can access the QB file concurrently. So, at the end of the day you do not have to follow the chore of synchronizing the QuickBooks file.

offers such a service @ $25/user per month. If you need a demo, that is avaiable.

Synchronizing files is an everyday chore which costs time and money and it is a time bound activity. And what if the pesonnel involved with it is not able to do it in time? It could cause disruption of work for the sales force.

The best solution is Multiuser access over the internet so that all can update the QB data without having to undergo synchronization.
