How do I delete accounts?

Hi! Have Quickbooks Pro 2005 and Windows XP Pro with two separate companies and both are rather bloated. I do not know how to figure out how many mb they are taking up and would appreciate knowing how to do that AND how I can delete customers prior to, say December 31, 2003 all at once.... Thanks!
