Martial Arts School

I just purchased Quickbooks Premier 2006. I'm not sure what edition to use for a Martial Arts school. If offers Professional Services, but again I'm not sure to use that or the regular Premier Edition install.

Any help would really be appreciated.

Thank you, and good fortune in your future success.

I'm confused by your question.

AKAK the Premier versions are industry specific. If you have the Premier Professional Services Edition 2006, just install it. It already contains the features for Professional Services.

Now, if you are asking whether the Premier Professional Services Edition is the correct choice for a martial arts school, that's a different question.

If you don't need the industry specific reporting and billing options, and if you are not going to be using the forecasting and business planning options in QB, you possibly could step down to the Pro version and do as well. I used Pro for 2 years before I upgraded to the Premier Contractors Edition.

Thank you for the quick reply. My question is this, while installing Quickbooks Premier, I'm offered the option of installing 1. Professional Services 2. Premier 3. Accountant 4. Contractor, etc. I"m not sure what to install for a Martial Arts school. I have browsed the quicken website, and have not even come up with a Martial Art option.

Picking the right setup make life easier. Whatever help you can offer is appreciated.

Thanks Tom

Take a look at your "The Official Guide For Premier Edition Users." The Contents on page VII show that from pages 1-28 there are specifics for each of the choices you have.

Keep in mind what you are doing or will be doing in your business regarding customers, retail sales of product, networking of computers, point-of-sale integration, multiple schools reporting, etc to make the best choice. You can eliminate some right off the bat such as Manufacturing and Non-Profit.

Sincerely, Joanne

Well, you're not a contractor or an accountant, so you can disregard those. Go to Intuit's web site and visit the differences in your remaining choices.
