QUICKBOOKS 2007 MAC SUCKS

Quickbooks Pro 2007 for Mac STILL DOES NOT HAVE MULTIUSER SUPPORT

What is wrong with these stupid people? From what I have been able to gather from various discussion groups and articles, this is the NUMBER ONE requested feature. And yet the moron engineers at Quickbooks can't figure out how to do it, or perhaps are just too lazy.

UNIX, the foundation of Mac OS X, has been around for decades and runs everything from hospital systems, DOD and other huge government systems, millions of websites, IRS systems, and millions of other high and low power databases throughout the world, and probably some in outer space, too.

IT SHOULDN'T BE TOO DIFFICULT TO GET SOME FREAKING BASIC 5-USER FINANCIAL SOFTWARE TO RUN ON A MAC.

The reason we switched to this sucking platform is because an engineer at QB told me on the phone that they were working on adding the feature and that I could look for it in the next release. WELL HERE IS THE NEXT RELEASE... and STILL NO FEATURE.

Quickbooks DOES NOT CARE about Mac users. Well this Mac user doesn't care about Quickbooks, and you can be sure I will NEVER buy another version, whether for PC or Mac.

Don't buy their line - they will tell you that this is a Mac problem. It's not. Purely and simply, this is a Quickbooks problem. Until they can fix their problems, I will take my business elsewhere, and I advise all you readers who use Macs to do the same.

I agree. I will not buy a Mac until it can run QB properly. And one more thing. Windows rules.

QB on a Mac.

I'm reminded of the famous quote by Samuel Johnson (paraphrasing):

"A woman in the pulpit is like a dog raised up on its hinder legs. It is not amazing that it does it poorly, what is amazing is that it would do so at all."

It's there. The "engineer" just didn't tell you the "feature" is boot camp!

"feature" - a bug as described by the marketing department.

Hi, I just wanted to pass along the MAC FAQ's:

Multi-User

Q: Is QuickBooks networkable? A: Yes. A company can have their company file located on a networked drive and access it from multiple computers that have QuickBooks installed. However, QuickBooks does not support multiple simultaneous users. Therefore, while the file might be accessible to multiple users, only one user at a time can access and modify the networked company file.

Q: Is there a multi-user version of QuickBooks Pro for Mac? A: QuickBooks for Mac does not currently have a multi-user version. You can save your QuickBooks data file on your network, and different individuals in your organization can access the file, but not at the same time. Also, Windows and Mac versions of QuickBooks cannot work together on a multi-user license.

I know you are all disappointed that the MAC version is not multi-user capable, but at least you can access one file from multiple computers.

Good luck, Amy

But that is no good to businesses who need multi-user functionality. Networkability isn't really a comparable (or exciting to Mac users) feature.

QB sales & support needs to do a MUCH better job with the information they give out regarding Mac versions because misinformation seems to be a habit where that's concerned. Hopefully the OP can get some sort of refund.

Just a friendly FYI....its Mac not MAC. Mac users take great issue with that.
