Mac Quicken 2006 - They finally got it right

Aug 02, 2005 2 Replies

Purchased Mac Quicken 2006 from Intuit this morning. I've always been one of those people that purchases every version, going back about ten or so years. And every year, i swear I'm going to pass on the new version. And every year, I buy it.

For me, Mac '06 would be a make or break version. If it was yet another buggy, unstable, weak version, I was going to go the VPC route. I must say, I was pleasantly surprised.

The Smart Payee feature alone is worth the upgrade price. Additionally, the Remove Capitalizations from Downloaded Transactions is also a great addition. The ability to "set and forget" the backup to your .Mac account is great as well.

I have been beating on the program as much as possible; and performing actions that would make '05 crash. So far, so go.

It might be a bit early to say this, but perhaps, there is hope for the Mac version after all :)

Must say I agree for the most part on 2006 for Mac but I do have an issue with it and that is when trying to backup to my .Mac, Quicken

2006 always crashes and then have to relaunch and then it will back up to >mac account with no problem
