Quickbooks still need to be activated at a cost

Still using QB Pro 2002 Australian version. No issues and does all I want.

Do the current versions cost a fee to activate after the first install via a phone call as does the 2002 version? That is if you want to reinstall or transfer the program to another computer it costs a fee. $9.00 AU the last time added to the phone account.
