Maybe it places the logo/graphics files in my pics?
(My company logo is in a BMP file which is what it may be looking for.)
Picture ID to verify you are the license holder?
Just a guess. Did you modify a template for an invoice/purchase order/sales reciept etc. to include a logo? Where is the file that contains the logo?
My inclination is your logo. On my quickbooks invoice there is a logo, a logo in BMP format that quickbooks plugs into the final printerd invoice.
Maybe when you attached the logo it resided in your my pictures file?
I would asume everytime I print that invoice Quickbooks is accessing that .bmp file.
If this is the case here, then look for a folder named "company name- Images" buried in the My Pictures folder.
Not necessarily. Mine are in another folder elsewhere on the computer.
Oh, okay. I thought mine was the default location. I don't remember being given the option to change locations.
Is your folder name the same, i.e. "company name-Images" like mine or did you change that too?
It's been a few years since I did it but i seem to recall the logo file was in a particular file and when I used the logo in the template I had to point to that file's location.
No it's in a file set aside for various data. That way I can just copy the entire folder when I back up files.
I don't bother with Quickbooks backup. I jsut back up the entire folder which inclusdes Quickbooks plus a bunch of other files.
I had the same problem, Heres a step by step solution to how I fixed the problem.
1) Uninstall Quickbooks (Make sure you backup your data files) Run RegSeeker to search for and remove registry data that contains "Quickbooks"2) Uninstall Microsoft .NET 1.1 Framework + Hotfixes (To guarentee no flash 7 errors)
3) Uninstall Flash (To guarentee no flash 7 errors)4) Reboot and Re-Install .NET 1.1 Framework.
5) Re-Install Standalone Flash 76) Disable NIC
7) Run Regedit > go to >HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders
Look for My Pictures Key and make sure settings match: My Pictures REG_EXPAND_SZ %USERPROFILE%\My Documents\My Pictures
Make sure the "Type" field is a REG_EXPAND_SZ, if it is a regular REG_SZ you will still get the same error.
8) Re-Install Quickbooks, you should not receive the same error.9) Re-Enable Nic and update Flash from Quickbooks.
Should be good. Hope this helps.
