Anybody Using VM with Q 2011 Premier??

I am using Quicken Premier 2011 for Windows on a Mac in a virtual machine - Parallels 6. I cannot get Quicken to print. I have one other program I runs in Windows and that one prints just fine with my current arrangement.

When I try and set up a printer in Quicken (File; Printer Setup; For Reports/Graphs) I never get the Window in which one chooses a printer

-- I get a window which says in part:

"Unable to verify the active printer at the system level. Please verify the printer is turned on and try again. . ." Plus more -- I can send a screen shot of the window if anybody really needs/wants to see it.

If I try to setup a printer for checks, I can pick from various printer options, including the one I use. Then when I actually click the Print check icon I get the same message saying the sytem is unable to verify the active printer.

If it matters, my printer is connected to the network and I actually send files to the printer wirelessly.

Also I was able to print checks with this same arrangement using Quicken 2008.

Yet ANOTHER user who would have been FAR better off sticking with Q2008 and NOT "up" grading to Q2011. Of course, that person evidently has more money than brains, being a Mac user and all.

You can try renaming the file WPR.DAT. Quicken will create a new one. You may need to recreate Quicken printer setup.

[On my Windows XP Pro SP3 pc, I find WPR.DAT in \Documents and Settings\MyWindowsUserName\Application Data\Intuit\Quicken\Config]
