Attachments

I just downloaded R2 for Q09 and the attachment icon still doesn't work in my checking register. The attachment is there (if you select the attachment button on the transaction toolbar). Does anyone else have this problem on an XP machine?

I figured it out:

If I have the "show tag field" selected in register preferences, the attachment icon moves to under the date field and can be selected. If the "show tag field" is selected, the icon moves to under the number field and cannot be selected.

Can anyone reproduce this action?

Hi AR,

I have Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 3. Originally Show Tag Field was selected and the attachment Icon was located under the Date Field.

I unchecked Show Tag Field and restarted Quicken. The Attachment icon remained under the Date Field.

I rechecked Show Tag Field and restarted Quicken. The Attachment icon remained under the Date Field.

In all cases, the attachment opens up.

Question: When installing or updating Quicken, was the background Anti-Virus Scanner disabled?

I would suggest that you uninstall Quicken 2009. Reboot and reinstall Quicken 2009 with the Anti-Virus disabled and see what happens.
