How does one change the order of transactions on the same day?

I have a statement that is generated at the end of the day on the 6th of each month. In Quicken, most transactions for that day appear AFTER the statement. How can I put this statement transaction after all others on that day?

In View option of the register, check Sort by Date/order entered. Then just cut the transaction you want to be last, and paste it back.

That's what I thought, but it doesn't work. I insert a blank transaction after all the other transactions for that day, cut the statement transaction, then paste it to the blank transaction and it jumps up to the start of the day.

Perhaps you can tell us the version of Quicken you are using, OS, and the "statement transaction" that's misbehaving. I read the last posting too quickly. It was sorted by Date/Amount. I've changed it to Date/Order Entered and it's behaving as expected.

Thanks for the follow-up. It's definately appreciated!

FYI... It's Quicken Cash Manager 2008 running on Windows XP Pro SP2.

Again... Thank you VERY much!
