I use Quicken 5.0 Premier Home and Business R5. I use two computers in different parts of the house.
Is there any way this version of Quicken will work in client/server mode?

Working from more than one computer does not translate into a client/server application. If you believe that then you need to learn what a client/server application is.
Can Quicken files be on a shared network drive - I believe so. However you will quickly run in to the limitation that only one copy of Quicken can be using the Quicken database at any one time.
