How Can I Get Quicken 2005 Support?

Aug 03, 2005 5 Replies

It all began when I used Q3 in an attempt to isolate the last 2 years' of activity from all the preceding activity in my main QDF. That didn't work, and I wasn't able to open the file after that. I figured that Q5 was a good idea at this point, but it's not working out that way.

I installed Q5, it will not convert/open my main file. I've been told this is due to corruption in the file.

However, 2 other QDF files I have DID convert and open.

In 2 2-hour phone calls, have uninstalled Q5, reinstalled Q3, uninstalled Q3, reinstalled Q5, etc.

I have had 3 chat sessions that produced nothing.

4 promises to contact me by email have produced nothing.

Email to the address they furnished came back as undeliverable.

In one of the chats, Kevin said "Yes, our team will fix your data file and you will get your corrected file."

In spite of the above, I have had no response to my need to have my QDF file uncorrupted.

I am weeks behind in my finances.

Can any one tell me how to get Intuit to respond with meaningful support?

Tom Jones - Intuit user since 1994 (but I'm starting to be sorry)

Tom. Do you have a backup from before all this started?

Hi Mike - Yes, I have used it repeatedly in attempting to get things going.

I copy the backup over the previous victim before I make the next attempt.

No luck.

Hi. Thanks for the very promising info! I'll go there first chance I get.

Tom

Hi! Thanks for the support. I finally got an email from Intuit, saying they were going to close my case in a week, as they had not heard from me (!).

I replied with the original posting above and got a response by phone and email. So things are looking up.

Again, thanks. Tom from Burbank.
