Investment Setup

Hello again:

I don't know why I am putting up with the frustation of quicken, thinking about throwing it in the trash can.

I set up a security and fill in all the correct data; Example: I purchase a security, total cost $13,464.83, everthing is fine to this point, I go to the account list and it shows a value of $26,464.83.

What the heck is going on, I check the register and the values are what they should be "13,463.83

Please tell me what could be happening? Thank-You

This occurance only happens when I transfer funds from a brokerage account. If I enter the purchase without a transfer the numbers are correct. I added this note to hopefully help in a resolution. Thank-You

After the transaction to buy the shares, your transaction register should show a $0 cash balance. What transactions are showing? What is the specific transaction used to buy the stock? Is it perhaps a "shares in" transaction instead of a buy transaction?

It's always a good idea to mention which version of Quicken you are using.
