Maximizing reports - Q v 2009

Sep 23, 2010 3 Replies

I recently migrated to a new computer and Win 7. Everything works fine but I'm noticing that all my reports open in a window. I can't remember if this was the behavior on the old system, but I now have a monitor certainly adequate for viewing them at a larger size and would like them to open as such, possibly maximized. Is there any setting that controls the report window size? I can't find it.

Btw: it sure is nice to not have to wait 5 minutes for Quicken to update my net worth after OSU now. It's just about instantaneous on an i5 system.

Thanks

Bumping in hopes that someone (John?) can answer this simple problem.

I'm pretty sure it was.

I would have responded before, if I thought I had any useful news to offer you.

I know of no way to change the initial (default) "size" of Quicken report "windows".

The best suggestion I can offer is to pick the reports you use most often; Customize them, not only to display in the size you like them, but to have the other Customizations you prefer ... then Save them (in a Quicken Print Folder of your choice), and initiate those reports from your "My Saved Reports & Graphs".

Or create a Quicken Toolbar icon to initiate the report.

John, I had done everything you mentioned to these reports long time ago, except for sizing them. Since I didn't see a Maximize option on Customize, it never occurred to me that you could simply manually expand the window to a good viewing size and that would be saved when you resaved the report. It's much nicer now. See, you did have useful ideas!
