Q07D problem (bug?)

The One Step Update Summary page did not appear to have a way out. I did an Alt-F4 to exit the program.

On second look, I noticed on the bottom of the screen a barely visible line which turns out to be a the top of a button to close the view or window. Been using the Samsung LCD monitor for a couple of years and never had a problem.

Do I have a monitor setting problem or is there something wrong with Q07? As I said before, I never had a screen problem before.

I'm still running IE6 with Firefox 1.5.06 as my default browser, no probs there. Haven't tried IE7.

How large is your monitor, what resolution are you running at, and have you changed the screen font size? I run OSU every day and have not seen the problem you mention, though I admit I'm not clear as to what view/window you're referring to. BTW, I have a Samsung 19" LCD,

1280x1024, default font size.

Now that I think about it.... One thing I *have* noticed is that on the Quicken Home page, I only had five tabs across the top, with the last one saying "More" followed by a down arrow. It was actually the last two tabs (Investments and Accounts) doubled up, and I had to choose which one I wanted each time I clicked on that tab. Mildly annoying, I thought. Well, I have Quicken set to take up *most* of the screen but not all. (I run XP with the classic view, so I have icons down the left side. I like to keep these at least partially visible so I can click on them without minimizing my apps. I do have Quicken filling the screen vertically, however.) Anyway, when I maximized the Quicken window, I suddenly had six tabs, so I no longer had the extra step of choosing between Investments and Accounts from the "More" tab. I've also noticed the new Q interface reduces the number of visible register transactions by a few, although in return, I think the interface is easier on the eyes. And finally I get to my point. Do you have the Quicken window maximized? If not, you might try maximizing it to see if this solves your display issue. I still have not had to maximize horizontally, though I did have to stretch the Quicken window a bit so I could see all six tabs on the Quicken Home page.

I hope all that made sense ... and is helpful. :-)

Regards,

Margaret

Ok, you got me showing my age. I increased resolution and got the whole page. :-/ Not to 1280 x 1080 though. I'd have to hold a magnifying glass on the screen.

Margaret, FYI, in XP right click the Taskbar and select Toolbar's >

Desktop. This will give you a Desktop item, next to the Systray, with a clickable button with the » symbol. Clicking this gives you a menu of what is on your Desktop, and access to them while having your apps maximized.
