Multi user license needed for 3rd machine?

Dec 06, 2006 1 Replies

An associate wants me to try and work on her data file from Quickbooks Pro 2005. I do not currently have the program installed on my laptop. To my knowledge, she does not have a multi user license, but currently has the program installed on two machines. So, my question is: can I install her program on my laptop in order to work on her data file from home without her needing to purchase a multi user license for that third machine (mine.)?

Thanks, mongrelhunter

The EULA states "You may: (a) install the Software on one computer for access and use by only one specific person; and (b) install the Software on one additional portable computer (e.g., a laptop that you own and use in your business), so long as only the same specific person accesses and uses the Software."

To answer your question - you CAN install her program on your laptop to work on her data file from home - nothing in the software itself will prevent it.
