Printing in Quicken 2005

Just upgraded to Quicken 2005 from Quicken 99, yeah I know it was about time, but 99 did everything I wanted it to do, until one day...it wouldn't. Anyway...You upgrade one thing, it seems everything else has to be upgraded. Which I am working on. But first I have $200.00+ in checks I need to use up that are dot matrix. Last night I sat and wrote by hand 150 checks, because I could not get Quicken 2005 to print more than one check at a time to print correctly! Yes, I went into the print check setup and did the coarse and fine alignments....and yes the first check was perfect...each check after was NOT! The printer is an old panasonic KX-P3125, it's great it runs for months on one ribbon that costs close to nothing compared to ink jet. The printer is printing....the checks after the first one are not aligned! Any hep would be appreciated....I have 15 days to figure it out, before writing another 150 checks.

Thank-you in advance for any help! Barb

I can't say that I've delt with this issue in Quicken, but I have had other programs/panasonic printers that I've had 'issues' with. What it comes down to more often than not is the print driver being used by XP/2000. (With Q05 I believe it relies more on the OS print driver than it's own like it did in Q99.)

You may want to change from the specific driver under the OS to 'Generic | Generic/Text Only'.
