Check printing w/ dot matrix printer

I have Quickbooks 2005 and an Epson LQ1170 printer. I print on track feed multi layered checks with a single stub. When I print a payroll check Quickbooks pops a window up saying "the printer does not support all the fonts in the check". If you say continue it will print but the font is to large to get all the information on the voucher stub, the check does ok. Changing the printer fonts does nothing. Changing the font in Quickbooks does nothing. I tried using a Okidata printer and it does the same thing. If I print selecting single sheet checks, it will print all the information properly but the single checks have two stubs, it therefore prints stub informatioon on the next check.

Any suggestions. Buck

The cost of todays laser printers are just too low and the performance too great for anyone to be having the above conversation. Yea I know you just have to have multiply copies. Think again, you can run your business without them.

Printing 4 copies on a laser printer is way faster than printing 1 copy of

4-part paper on a dot-matrix. The paper's cheaper, too.
